Who says silent movies are dead! Congratulations to The Artist for receiving an Academy Award nomination for best film!
This is so exciting for us silent movie fans. Has anyone else seen it yet? What did you think? Do you think this opens the door to new silents? An appreciation for the classics? More opportunities for restoration?

I absolutely loved The Artist, although I didn't think I could be satisfactorially entertained by a silent movie. I was very wrong and was amazed at exactly how much the film inspired me.
As a result I ended up creating my own silent movie to promote a new service at my company, PCM Ltd. I'd love for you to check it out and see what you think. I suppose ours is more Charlie Chaplin than The Artist, but that is what it was inspired by!
